Hi, I’m Lauren. Glad you’re here.

People describe me as tender-hearted, pragmatic, and creative. My therapeutic approach is grounded in creating welcoming spaces for your full, multidimensional self — and in the belief that you are the expert of your own life.

I’m a somatic practitioner and creative facilitator with training in body-based therapeutic approaches, movement, trauma-informed care, somatic psychology, IFS-informed parts work, Authentic Movement, and expressive arts practices.

With over a decade of experience guiding individuals and groups, my work centers somatic exploration, movement-based learning, and creative reflection. I emphasize clear structure, choice-based participation, and accessible, evidence-informed tools that support emotional regulation and embodied insight.

Body/Story Lab brings together the modalities I’ve trained in — somatic awareness, creative process, parts-work, and gentle movement — a grounded and supportive space for exploration and growth.

Therapy excavates our grief and our joy. It doesn’t always have to be serious.

I offer teletherapy for individuals and Body/Story Lab for groups on Wednesdays (40th Street, Oakland).
