Individual Therapy

Somatic Psychotherapy

Given our overstimulating environments, it is easy to lose track of our bodies and live in our heads. We intellectualize our problems, which can help us in the short-term, but somehow doesn’t change the way that we feel about ourselves.

Somatic therapy is a process of sensitizing yourself to your own body (i.e.: put your attention on the bottoms of your feet) and connecting words, imagery, and needed actions to this experience. By literally bringing awareness to our present-moment senses, our bodies provide us invaluable information about how to live with greater health.

I act as a co-facilitator in supporting people to explore the messages from their inner landscape. I pull from training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Hakomi Therapy, Body-Mind Centering, Alexander Technique, and yoga.

Internal Family Systems

Internal Family Systems is a framework for therapy that helps you identify the difference between your true “Self” and your “parts.”

Imagine you are the conductor of an orchestra or the coach of a team. You care about all your players - but they also have their own fears, hopes, and agendas… and you need them to work together! By identifying and separating from different parts of our identity, we can learn to be our own parent, coach, or conductor that we always needed.
